Agenda
What we will cover in this proposal
Market Opportunity
AI Video Analytics is one of the fastest-growing enterprise security segments globally
Global AI Video Analytics Market (USD Billion)
Market Drivers
- Rapid proliferation of IP cameras across enterprise and government sites
- Declining GPU compute costs making AI inference affordable at scale
- Regulatory and compliance pressure requiring documented security response
- Proven ROI from early adopters driving broader Asia-Pacific adoption
Current Challenges
Traditional CCTV monitoring creates more risk than it resolves
Operational Blind Spots
- Fragmented CCTV systems with no centralised view or analytics
- Security teams reviewing footage manually — slow and error-prone
- Incidents missed or escalated too late due to alert fatigue
- No cross-camera correlation — events appear isolated
Business Impact
- Surveillance investment delivers raw footage — not operational intelligence
- Compliance reporting done manually with no audit trail automation
- No KPI visibility for management on security operations
- Difficult to scale monitoring as site count grows
The Numbers Tell the Story

Hardware Advantage
HIK Vision AI cameras perform detection at the source — reducing bandwidth requirements and ensuring real-time response even without network connectivity to the server.
Analytics Depth
SenseTime's 50+ algorithm library processes complex multi-scene scenarios that edge cameras alone cannot handle — crowd analysis, behavior patterns, forensic search.
AIVA Ownership
AIVA remains Weststar Engineering's owned product — the stable business-facing layer above both AI partners. The client always sees one platform regardless of the backend.

Turnkey Delivery
Weststar Engineering manages the entire project — hardware supply, installation, software integration, tuning, training, and ongoing support. One contract, one team.
UAT Before Handover
Every deployment includes a structured UAT phase. We do not hand over until the system meets agreed performance criteria and your team is fully trained.
SLA-Backed Support
Optional annual support and maintenance SLA — remote monitoring, on-site response, platform updates, and helpdesk support for long-term reliability.
Camera Placement & Detection Requirements
AI analytics performance depends on camera placement, lighting, and scene quality. We document these requirements upfront — no surprises during UAT.
Camera Installation Guidelines
- Recommended light intensity: above 50 lux
- Camera height: 2.5m – 3.5m (common indoor reference)
- Viewing angle: 15° – 30° for optimal detection
- Horizontal distance: more than 3m from target zone
- Avoid severe backlight, blur, and heavy occlusion
Face Recognition Quality
- Eye distance: at least 60 pixels in frame
- Face should be centered, clear, and not heavily occluded
- Reflective accessories reduce recognition reliability
- Longer face presence in frame improves match accuracy
Representative Accuracy
These figures are only meaningful when the documented boundary conditions are met.
Site Survey Included
Weststar Engineering conducts a full site survey before finalising the hardware BOM — ensuring cameras are specified for the right positions, angles, and lighting.
Pilot Before Full Rollout
We always recommend a pilot phase with representative cameras before full deployment. This validates accuracy in your specific environment and tunes detection thresholds accordingly.
